I created this website with the intention of telling you something about myself, my life, and the inspiration for the Trueman’s Way detective series. I spent long hours drafting elegantly written accounts of this beautiful city in which I live and how the character of Inspector Trueman developed in my imagination over the years.

Unfortunately, before I could upload any of these beautifully crafted musings, Trueman and Izzy took over. Apparently, Trueman wanted a place where he could post his latest thoughts about the cases he was working on as well as boast about his heroic efforts in their rather rambling garden and allotment. Personally, I don’t think he’s quite the gardener he claims to be.

After declaring that websites were a waste of time, Izzy suddenly decided that they were the perfect way of showcasing the kind of creative genius that she insists she possesses, and duly hijacked my website to do this. If you find her oddball avant garde taste in art and fashion rather alarming at times, don’t worry – I do too.

Right, I’d better sign off now before they find me here. Oh, I’m sorry; I still haven’t told you anything about myself. Well, I’m Kit North. I live in Porto and I’m the author of the Trueman’s Way books. I hope you like them. Now I’ll hand you over to Trueman and Izzy. Good luck. BTW the website is somewhat chaotic at the moment thanks to the aforementioned, some things I put in have disappeared but I hope to fix things soon.
